To the Sonnbergalm (1,950 m)
Be excited for today‘ s Sellrainer Höhenweg – famous for the multiple views over the mountain range of the valley Sellrain, the rocky towers of the Kalkkögel as well as the majestic glaciers of the Stubaier Alps. The first section is short and easy-going, leading you within one hour from parish St. Sigmund to the Sonnbergalm. Just follow the forest road to the mountain hut Sonnenbergalm. The hut lives up to her name (Engl.: Sun-mountain) and spoils you in good weather with many warming sun rays due to her location on the southern face of the Sellraintal.

Ascent to the Kögele (2,195 m)
For the next 3,5 hours you follow a panoramic track until you have reached the mountain Kögele below the peak of the Roßkogel. Every drop of sweat will be worth it – at the latest when you are surrounded by the panoramic view of the two- and three thousand metre summits of the Ötztaler and Stubaier Alps. At the top of the Kögele, savour the magnificent view over the valley Inntal that gracefully winds its way through the mountain world.
